Girls don't grow in isolation. They grow in relationship, with adults who know themselves, show up consistently, and create spaces where it is safe to be human.

Life I Love School was created from a simple truth: every girl deserves a safe place to land, to laugh, to heal, and to grow.
For Founder and Executive Director Chasmin Moses, that place was her Grandma Moses' home in Eudora, Arkansas. Each summer, she left behind the chaos of home and found peace in the smallest moments. Waking from a nap to the sound of fish popping in hot grease, or hearing her grandmother hum while sewing clothes for her. With very lil, her grandmother gave her everything: love, peace, and the freedom to simply be.
That early experience shaped Chasmin's entire life. Joy became her survival, and because she learned what peace felt like, she could always find her way back to it, even in szns of grief, disruption, or change.
Life I Love School now extends that same possibility to Black and Brown girls across Oakland. Through brain science and creative practice, girls build the self-awareness, belonging, and confidence to lead, and always have somewhere to return to.
