We believe that when girls feel safe, seen, and supported, they grow the emotional tools to lead full lives, build strong relationships, and return to joy when life gets hard.
Life I Love School was created from a simple truth: every girl deserves a safe place to land, to laugh, to heal, and to grow.
For Founder & Executive Director Chasmin Moses, that place was her Grandma Moses’ home in Eudora, Arkansas. Each summer, she left behind the chaos of home and found peace in the smallest moments. Waking from a nap to the sound of fish popping in hot grease, or hearing her grandmother hum while sewing clothes for her. With very lil, her grandmother gave her everything: love, peace, and the freedom to simply be.
That early experience shaped Chasmin’s entire life. Joy became her survival, and because she learned what peace felt like, she could always find her way back to it - even in szns of grief, disruption, or change.
Life I Love School now extends that same possibility to Black and Brown girls across Oakland. Through creative, brain-science-infused wellness programs, the school creates healing-centered environments where girls build confidence, regulate emotions, feel deeply connected to community, and discover the power of joy, no matter what life brings.
We’re expanding our team by sourcing passionate, emerging leaders, college students, recent grads, and community members who reflect the girls we serve.
We train and place these Wellness Coaches in schools to lead our healing-centered programs with care, cultural responsiveness, and impact. If you’re ready to support the next generation, we’d love to meet you.
At Life I Love School, we believe that healing and growth happen in spaces where girls feel safe to be themselves, express joy, and connect with others. Inspired by the spaces we longed for as children, and the ones we’re now building, we carry these values into everything we do.

Life I Love School sources, trains and places wellness coaches in historically marginalized communities to help Black and Brown girls build essential life skills, such as self-love, self-regulation, and self-accountability, through joyful, healing-centered experiences.
