We believe that when girls feel safe, seen, and supported, they grow the emotional tools to lead full lives, build strong relationships, and return to joy when life gets hard.
Life I Love School was born from a simple truth: every girl deserves a safe place to land, to laugh, to heal, and to grow.
For me, that place was my Grandma Moses’ house in Eudora, Arkansas. Each summer, I escaped the chaos of home and found joy in the simple things, like waking from a nap to the sound of fish popping in hot grease or hearing her hum while sewing my clothes.
With very little, she gave me everything: love, peace, and the freedom to just be.
That joy became my survival. In every season of grief or challenge, I’ve been able to find my way back to peace because I knew what it looked and felt like.
At Life I Love, we offer that same experience to Black and Brown girls. We create healing-centered spaces where they can build confidence, regulate emotions, and discover the power of joy, no matter what life brings.
At Life I Love School, we believe that healing and growth happen in spaces where girls feel safe to be themselves, express joy, and connect with others. Inspired by the spaces we longed for as children, and the ones we’re now building, we carry these values into everything we do.
We create space for laughter, play, and creativity because joy is essential to emotional health and growth.
We value calm, consistency, and emotional safety, creating nurturing environments that help girls feel held, centered, and ready to grow.
We honor individuality and voice, cultivating judgment-free spaces where girls can show up fully as themselves.
We lead with love, offering care, compassion, and acceptance to ourselves and one another, without conditions.
We believe in the power of sisterhood and community because we heal, grow, and belong best when we’re together.
We’re expanding our team by sourcing passionate, emerging leaders, college students, recent grads, and community members who reflect the girls we serve.
We train and place these Wellness Coaches in schools to lead our healing-centered programs with care, cultural responsiveness, and impact. If you’re ready to support the next generation, we’d love to meet you.
